WHEELCHAIR RENTAL FAQ
If you are wondering which wheelchair to choose, consult our guide how to choose the right wheelchair
[accordion-item_inner title=”What types of wheelchairs do you provide?”] [/accordion-item_inner]We have a large fleet of wheelchairs suitable for all needs. To see all the types of wheelchairs available, click here
We have wheelchairs with seats in various sizes, but to rent the wheelchair in the correct size it will be sufficient to indicate the patient’s height and weight when placing the order.
A medium-sized wheelchair, suitable for adult patients of average build (1.75 m x 80 kg), has a maximum width of approximately 70 cm. If your lift door is narrower than this, you will need to rent the narrow-passage wheelchair model.
All our wheelchairs can be folded with a simple movement of the seat, so that they can easily be loaded into a car and stored at home without taking up space.
As they are fitted with flip-up armrests, you can help the patient get out of the wheelchair by raising both side armrests and sliding them sideways off the seat. This feature is very important as it also allows patients with limited mobility to use our wheelchairs.
All our wheelchairs can be used equally well indoors or outdoors. For indoor use, however, we do advise you to consider the presence of very narrow spaces, small doors or small lifts and to inform our operator, so that we can deliver the aid in the right size.
As standard, the wheelchair is supplied with simple footrest platforms. On request, however, these can be replaced with leg-rest supports, which are necessary in cases where the patient needs to keep one or both legs extended. This accessory has no extra cost.
