I need to rent a wheelchair. How do I choose the right size?
To rent the correct wheelchair size, simply let us know the user's height and weight when placing your order. We have wheelchairs with seat widths ranging from 35 cm to 60 cm.
Will the wheelchair fit in the lift?
A standard-sized wheelchair suitable for an average adult user (1.75 m, 80 kg) has a maximum width of approximately 70 cm. If your lift door is narrower than this, you will need to rent our narrow-access wheelchair model.
How do I fold the wheelchair to load it into a car?
All our wheelchairs can be folded with a simple movement of the seat, so they can be easily loaded into a car or stored at home without taking up much space.
Can the user transfer out of the wheelchair without standing up?
Since our wheelchairs are fitted with flip-back armrests, the user can transfer out by raising both side armrests and sliding laterally off the seat. This feature is particularly important as it allows people with reduced mobility to use our wheelchairs independently.
Are your wheelchairs more suited to indoor or outdoor use?
All our wheelchairs are equally suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. For indoor environments, we do recommend noting any particularly narrow spaces, doors, or small lifts and informing our team when ordering, so that we can deliver the right size mobility aid.
Are the footrests included?
All wheelchairs are supplied as standard with simple footrests. On request, these can be replaced with elevating leg rests, which are necessary when the user needs to keep one or both legs extended. This accessory is provided at no extra charge.
