- Accessible entrance on the right side of St. Peter’s Square (a mechanized ramp bypassing the colonnade), making access straightforward for most visitors.
- Ramp at the metal detectors and an elevator near the bookshop: the interior is step-free and very spacious.
- Accessible restrooms located near the coat check. Free admission to the basilica.
- Not accessible: the Grottoes/Excavations; the Dome is only partially accessible (elevator to the lower terrace, then approximately 320 steps).
