Scooter was amazing! Made it possible for me to see parts of Italy I would have otherwise missed out on due to my mobility challenges. Ordering was easy and delivery was on time. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Only suggestion I would make is rent the smaller travel version so it can go taxis.
Il servizio è stato eccellente. Poiché viaggiavo a Roma dall’estero, avevo prenotato il noleggio di una sedia a rotelle online. La carrozzina è stata consegnata in hotel senza problemi il giorno prima del mio arrivo e l’albergo (Domus Rome Hotel) mi ha inviato un’e-mail per comunicarmi l’avvenuta ricezione lo stesso giorno.
Absolute Disgrace of a Company – Avoid At All Costs!
I have never left a negative review on the internet for any service in my life, but my experience with this company was so deeply unethical that I feel obligated to warn others. If you depend on mobility equipment, please stay away from them. They have zero moral standards.
Here is how they completely ruined my 4-day trip in Rome:
– No Communication and Blamed me for their mistake: They never informed me of a delivery date or time. Instead, the person named Marcello sent an email at the very end of the day stating he could not deliver the wheelchair because my accommodation was a B&B, not a hotel. I live in Canada and had no idea it was a guest house and how it’s classified, but there are staff at the front desk everyday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM!
– Refused to redeliver: When I called and asked Marcello to try delivering again, he flat out refused and stated that their delivery rounds for the day were already finished.
– Refused a reasonable refund: The total cost was 78 euros (48 euros for the wheelchair rental, 30 euros for delivery/collection). Since I never received the wheelchair, I reasonably asked for a refund of the 48-euro rental fee, agreeing to let them keep the 30-euro delivery fee for the failed trip. They refused and claimed it was entirely my fault.
– Zero availability during a holiday: Out of my 4-day stay, this company was completely closed for 3 days due to a long weekend.
– Extortionate extra fees: To get the wheelchair delivered on my very last day in Rome, they demanded an additional 18 euros.
If this company needs to scam people out of 48 euros to make money, so be it. But leaving a disabled traveler completely stranded on their holiday is unacceptable. Do not risk your trip with them.
